TEAM OrthoArizona Raises $11,000 in the Fight to Cure Arthritis
OrthoArizona’s caring physicians work with patients battling arthritis on a daily basis. So, once again, Team OrthoArizona was proud to represent in a BIG wayat the Arthritis Foundation’s 5K Walk to Cure Arthritisat the Phoenix Zoo on May 5. This year, our team of 200 walkers raised more than $11,000 toward finding a cure for this debilitating disease!
Additionally, OrthoArizona’s very own Dr. Kipling Sharpe served as the Arthritis Walk’s 2018 Orthopedic Medical Honoree. Dr. Sharpe is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and total joint specialist with OrthoArizona. His passion for helping patients combat joint pain and arthritis has helped transform countless lives here in the Valley of the Sun.
The Arthritis Foundation’s annual Walk to Cure Arthritis is the largest arthritis gathering in the world, happening nationally every May in cities around the country, including Phoenix. The goal of the event is to help the more than 50 million Americans, including 300,000 children with arthritis, live better today while fighting for a cure for tomorrow.
With record participation and dollars raised this year, Team OrthoArizona is certainly proud to have played a vital part in the 2018 Walk to Cure Arthritis. And we will continue the fight! Our doctors are committed to providing patients with innovative treatments so that they can help them “live without limits” someday soon while eradicating this crippling disease.
