Just 3 Weeks Later – A Patient Story
We are pleased to share this recent letter from a previous patient. We hope you enjoy reading his about his experience with his hip replacement:
Dear Dr. Kassman,
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you, your staff and all the others involved in my recent hip replacement surgery. From our first phone conversation, you made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision to proceed with the surgery. I knew I was in good hands. With your cool, calm demeanor throughout the entire process I was never worried (a little nervous, but not worried).
Your office staff, despite their hectic schedules, were all friendly, efficient and professional. Yanira was particularly impressive. The entire staff at the Core Institute Specialty Hospital is also to be commended. The young lady who checked me so early in the morning, the pre-op nurse, the entire surgical team and the nurses in post-op all made me feel welcome, safe and comfortable. I know this level of team compassion and performance can only come from good leadership. Congratulations on putting together such a great team.
I would really be amiss if I didn’t mention Scott Radomski. The first time I met him right after surgery, I thought “Man, this guy is a slave driver.” He wouldn’t help me lift my sore leg into bed despite the agony. But I fully understood the theory and it all worked out according to Scott’s plan. I was off the walker in 4 days, I have been going to the gym for two weeks now and I have been off pain meds entirely since October 6.
I can dress myself, except for tying my right shoe. And my back pain seems to have almost disappeared- it only aggravates me when I sit for too long, but it is definitely not the acute pain I was experiencing prior to hip surgery. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will last.
Thanks again Dr. Kassman for everything. If you ever need a reference, please feel free to use my name.
Sincerely,
John H., 63 yr old, 3 weeks after right hip replacement
