Francis Tindall, MD

Dr. Tindall is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who originally founded Arizona Bone & Joint Specialists. He has been practicing orthopedic surgery since 1974 in both the United States and Canada. Dr. Tindall gravitated toward a career in orthopedics after experiencing a college football injury. While the injury sidelined him from pursuing the sport, he was impressed by the orthopedic surgeons who treated him and he soon changed his major to pre-med. Dr. Tindall completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Queens University in Kingston Ontario, Canada. He later furthered his education and orthopedic expertise with postgraduate work and residency training in Ottawa Ontario, Canada and Queens University Hospital in Kingston Ontario, Canada. Dr. Tindall specializes in sports medicine, trauma, and joint replacement surgery and he is proud of his association with the Arizona State Hockey Team and the American Track and Field Association. He has also served on the board of the United States Track and Field Doping Hearing Board. Dr. Tindall is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Arizona Medical Association, Maricopa County Medical Society, American College of Sports Medicine, and the Canadian Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine.
