CDC recommends use of Cloth Face Coverings
For the safety of our patients we are alerting you to the CDC’s recommendation that all persons wear a cloth face covering in public in particular when it might be challenging to ensure the 6 feet social distancing. Please note, a cloth face covering will help you from exposing others as people can spread the COVID 19 virus before they show symptoms. You will also be doing your part to help preserve the medical-grade masks for healthcare providers and first responders. For your convenience we have posted the information from the CDC including a video on how to make a cloth face covering. Please contact your PCP for questions/concerns on whether or not you should wear a cloth face mask as there are certain circumstances when it is not advised to wear a face covering.
Please read more about this here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html
Below is a video posted by the CDC, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams demonstrates how to make your own cloth facemask:
Please read the following message from OrthoArizona to our patients:
OrthoArizona is taking all necessary steps to protect our patients, staff, community and physicians from the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). With that in mind, our offices will continue to remain open, for essential/urgent orthopedic needs on a case-by-case basis. OrthoArizona made this decision in the best interest of our loyal and wonderful patients and employees, to help minimize their risk of exposure. To otherwise not act in accordance with the executive order from Governor Doug Ducey to cease elective surgeries, and not follow CDC recommendations, puts everyone in harm.
OrthoArizona was founded on quality and for this reason we cannot express enough that we are doing this for everyone’s safety and well-being. Our patient’s health has always come first and we are grateful for each one of you.
We currently offer telemedicine for our patients, which will allow for an alternative to in-person visits, and in the near future we will be offering orthopedic urgent care. More information on this will be forthcoming.
We continue our rigorous cleaning and screening process for those patients coming in for urgent appointments. As previously announced, if you are still coming to the office for your essential/urgent appointment, we are asking patients to come to the appointment alone or if they need assistance, to limit this to a single person. Only the patient will be allowed in with the exception of one person to assist the patient if medically necessary.
If you still have an in-person appointment and start to experience any symptoms such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, please call us to reschedule your appointment.
Please visit: https://azgovernor.gov/executive-orders to view up-to-date executive orders from the Governor’s office and https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/healthcare-facilities/ to view the recommendations from the CDC.
Public Health Reminder from the Center for Disease Control (CDC)
Healthcare facilities and clinicians should prioritize urgent and emergency visits and procedures now and for the coming several weeks. The following actions can preserve staff, personal protective equipment, and patient care supplies; ensure staff and patient safety; and expand available hospital capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Delay all elective ambulatory provider visits
- Reschedule elective and non-urgent admissions
- Delay inpatient and outpatient elective surgical and procedural cases
- Postpone routine dental and eye care visits
- Tools and resources external exist as part of healthcare system preparedness plans and are often referred to as Pandemic Plans. Consult your state or local health department about specific plans for your community.
OrthoArizona is experiencing high call volumes. If you are calling to reschedule or cancel your appointment due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) precautions,
please send an email with your name, physician you are scheduled with and your appointment time to info@OrthoArizona.org

What They're Saying
I have been dealing with "locking finger" for 2 years. Most days it was annoying, other times painful enough to wake me up at night. It certainly interfered with my ability to work. After seeing a couple other doctors, I found Dr Leber. He came across as kind, caring, and professional. I agreed to surgery. It was quick, pain free, and now I have 100% use of my hand again. Dr Leber and his staff are outstanding!
Came to Dr. Kassman for a full hip replacement. He explained really well what to expect, checked in regularly afterward and I couldn't have hoped for my recovery to go any better. Virtually no bruising and back to hiking within 7 weeks!
I’m seven weeks out from a full knee replacement and all is very well. Just a mild tenderness and limited numbness that I’m sure will dissipate in a few weeks. I’m walking fine with no cane, crutch, etc.and back to doing household chores, yard work, pool, washing windows on a ladder. I’m looking forward to having the other knee done after the first of the year. Dr. Kassman and his staff are first class in all regards. Will highly recommend!
I think Dr. Kassman is incredible. I was referred to him through a work-related accident/workman's comp and was concerned until I met him for the first time. He was thorough, efficient, and did an excellent job with my surgery. He continues to provide me with excellent care and I would absolutely refer others to him.
Dr. Hayman took great care of me and didn't waste any time getting my acl in my knee fixed. The entire staff is great and very friendly.
Dr. Hayman took all the time I needed to listen to and understand my complaints. When he recommended surgery, he explained his medial decision making process and made me feel 100% confident in proceed with the procedure. He was attentive from preop through recovery and I have an excellent outcome. I am very happy with my decision to be treated by Dr. Hayman.
Dr. Hayman is a shoulder GOD! He has worked miracles and I will forever be grateful! He takes his time going over different treatment options and answering any questions the patient may have. His office is great about working you in, even if its a last minute request. I highly recommend Dr. Hayman for any orthopedic need.
My daughter took a tumble down the stairs on Sunday night with her babysitter. Dr. Novack got us in first thing Monday morning, they were able to do the x-rays in office, he read the x-rays right on the spot, they placed my daughter in a cast and we were on our way. Dr. Novack took his time to explain everything to us, answered all of our questions, and handled a screaming one year old very professionally. They were very gentle while placing the cast as well. What I thought was going to be a very stressful situation quickly turned less stressful thanks to the staff and Dr. Novack. I would highly recommend this office.
My son had a significant clavical break and Dr. Novak was referred to us through the ER. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything about our options. I like the fact that he didn’t push his decision on us, he let us make the choice of surgery or not for my 15 year old son. My son felt so comfortable with Dr. Novak and his office staff, especially nurse Becky who got my teenager to smile again during his injury. We never felt rushed, he gave us full attention. Would recommend Dr. Novak no questions asked! Great staff and Surgeon
If you ever get to visit novack, you can expect a gold standard in patient care all around. In fact, I’m telling you this man is the BEST surgeon in Arizona for orthopedic issues. The referral process was easy, the staff are friendly and professional, and they all have a great bedside manner!
I have total confidence in Dr Novack and his staff! A lot of doctors out there are very quick to want to get you in for surgery and he really goes out of his way to give you all options and ain’t quick to say surgery is the answer! You can see from the first visit that he really cares for his patients! Thank you
I don't think I can come up with enough good things to say about Dr. Burgess and his nurse practitioner, Tracey Myers. I've had carpal tunnel release on both hands, and thumb joint replacement on one hand, and every moment of care from my initial visits, until each of me follow-up visits, have made me feel as though I'm the most important patient they have. My surgeries are a success due to the skill of Dr. Burgess, and I can't recommend him highly enough.
Dr. Burgess was one of the most incredible surgeons I have encountered. Extremely knowledgeable not only clinically but also regarding products. He seems to stay current in the market. He’s professional and seems to have good bed side manner. I would recommend anyone with upper extremity orthopedic needs towards Dr Burgess. Very pleased
Had surgery 7 weeks ago on my hand it was actually 3 different surgery areas, this was a Friday and I was back to work on Monday, the healing process was easy and I am ready to have the other hand done. It is great being able to do things without my fingers going numb or dropping things! Thank You :-)
Thank you for making the surgery process and recovery so easy. From the explanation of what was wrong with me to getting my surgery done, everything was very seamless and easy. Your staff was super helpful in explaining the process and getting me excellent pricing so I didn’t have to worry about that. I really look forward to not having pain anymore.
Dr. Burgess is the most highly skilled hand surgeon I have been to, and will be my last (only). Not only is he highly professional and knowledgeable in his field, his listening skills and diverse experience, training, education, research, and continuing education in his field are commendable and obvious in his abilities to listen, assess, develop well thought out recommendations, execute the plan and follow through with them, follow through with patient care and feedback, and his PA appears to be a great match for his expertise and mentoring. I would travel out of state without any hesitations based on my personal experience and knowledge of his proficiency and patient care.
I was referred to doctor Miller by my mother who had both of her hips replaced by him. I feel very comfortable with doctor Miller he's very professional great sense of humor takes the time to sit and explain your situation. He did a total left hip replacement on me. He did an excellent job. The staff there is also great. Dr. Miller has served our whole family my mother my sister and myself. And I will keep continuing to see him for all my medical issues.
Dr. Miller is Great, he has always been concerned about the progress of my knee surgery. The scar itself is virtually invisible. Everyone is very friendly at both of the offices I go to. I would recommend him as an Orthopedic Dr.
We had a very nice experience with this office. Dr. McCollum in particular. He was very personable and friendly. He did an excellent job making sure we understand the process and what to expect which helped my son because he was nervous. The staff was friendly as well. Great office
Dr. MacCollum did an excellent job repairing my torn rotator cuff. I am impressed with the range of motion I already have.
Thank you Dr. MacCollum!
I highly recommend Dr. Morris for any foot and ankle disorders. She is attentive, thorough, understanding and kind. After requiring surgery #3 due to an injury over 20 years ago, she consulted with peers to coordinate the best plan for me. Since surgery, my quality of life has improved so drastically that I can't help but share this positive experience with others. She's the best of the best!
Dr. Sanders has been treating me for osteoarthritis for the last 5 years. I am almost pain free through a Synvisc injection annually. It has allowed me to teach 5 aerobics classes per week, golf 6 days a week, and play pickleball regularly. I am 65+. Little to no wait time for appointments, courteous and efficient staff.
I needed surgery on my leg, I had no idea how severe my injury was. Dr. Sanders performed my surgery, and made sure my rehab was designed specifically for my needs. Dr. Sanders is a remarkable doctor and his entire medical team are exceptional as well.
He shows empathy, concern, compassion and has a very pleasant personality. When a person has broken bones and/or injuries a great physician can put your healing on a fast track. Dr. Sanders patients, staff and medical team think so highly of him because of the kindness he so warmly exhibits .
Dr. Rebich and the staff at the Camelback location were very kind and empathetic towards their patients. They took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything thoroughly helping me to leave there feeling like I knew what was going on with my spine and the options I had to fix it.
I saw a doctor about a broken vertebrae. He wanted to operate right away & he put me on opiods. I went to Dr. Kevin Khalsa for a second opinion. Dr. Khalsa took me off the opiods and put me on a muscle relaxant & an antiinflammatory. He then had me fitted for a back brace, which I wore for six weeks. After six weeks my back had healed. Then I had two months of exercises to strengthen my back muscles. I'm fine now. No risky surgery. No opiods. Dr. Khalsa did what was best for me, not what was best for his pocketbook. He is a fine doctor & I highly recommend him.
Dr. Davidson has been treating me for a few years for knee issues. I finally had my first knee replacement. My pre-op experience was made even better with Dr. Davidson's professionalism and his sense of humor. I know that I chose the right surgeon.
I searched and searched for a surgeon that did the anterior procedure for hip replacement and I choose the right guy! I was LITERALLY standing on my own within 10 hours of my surgery! I was walking, unassisted, the following day! He gave me back my life! It should be mentioned that I am a young 50 years old.
Compassionate. Efficiently diagnosed my pain issues. Very professional.
I saw Dr Davidson for a rotator cuff tear and he subsequently did a shoulder arthroscopy repair. From the first visit to the final post op visit, I knew I was being cared for by a caring and very competent surgeon. He is a good listener. He heard my priorities for care and helped me make decisions that were sound medical practice and were consistent with my priorities. The recovery was a challenge, but, less so because I was well prepared for everything by Dr. Davidson and his staff. The post op rehab OT was coordinated well between Cheryl and Dr. Davidson. I think it was a key factor in the great recovery I've made. I am 6 months out from surgery, pain free and more than satisfied with the functional return. It's getting hot and I am wearing sleeveless blouses and the scars are hardly visible. You won't know I had surgery. Could not ask for better. Highly Recommend.
I needed a revision of a 16 year old knee replacement that had already had 4 surgeries prior to the original replacement. My experience was that the office staff was efficient and friendly. Dr. Matthew Russo diagnosed the problem, communicated the risks and thoroughly explained his plan of action. I went into surgery thinking that my recovery could be longer and more difficult than the original surgery, however, I am one month out and I am back to most of my daily routines. I am delightfully pleased with my progress and the success of the surgery. I would give him a 10! And, of course recommend him to anyone needing knee replacement.
I am a very active 54 yr. old facing my second total hip arthroplasty. The surgeon that performed my first joint replacement retired so I was very stressed about finding another surgeon that could match his expertise and experience. After extensive research I chose Dr. Matthew Russo to perform my surgery. His Curriculum Vitae is very impressive and I felt he would be on top of current surgical techniques . His communication competence instilled tremendous confidence . I am 6 weeks post op… I went home the same day of my surgery, walking without a cane or other assistance and have had an optimal recovery to date. Dr. Russo's staff provided seamless, attentive Pre and Post-Op visits. …. I highly recommend Dr. Russo he is an outstanding Surgeon!
Dr. Russo is amazing. After seeing the same orthopedic surgeon for over 19yrs, I was very nervous when I was told I needed to see a different surgeon. He was very thorough, and honest. He took his time explaining everything to me. His staff was kind and always returned my calls in a timely manner. If you are looking for an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Russo is your guy!
I suffered with pain in my left wrist for over a decade before seeing Dr. Dinowitz. We scheduled surgery for the end of October, 2018. Without going into detail, he worked on my wrist for 2 1/2 hours doing an incredible amount of corrective work. I am now pain free, functioning normally again. Dr. Dinowitz is indeed my hero and I have told him that. His staff, Dr. Jason included were professionals at all times and so kind!
I highly recommend him to anyone in need of any orthopedic issues.
Thank you again Dr. Dinowitz, you're amazing!
Dr. Shelden Martin gave me a sense of calm and confidence about my options available and treatment needs. He answered all my questions in detail. He encouraged me that with therapy and the surgery my knee would respond very normally. My follow-up appointments went very well and he was highly pleased with my progress. He continued to stress the continuity of my therapy.
I Just wanted to thank Dr. Jaffe for taking such great care of me and providing me with high quality care. An amazing foot and ankle specialist. Thank you for being so compassionate!
I had a total hip replacement by Dr. Ganesh. I've had a few issues due to my own adjustment. I feel he is an excellent surgeon and actually enjoy my appointments with him. He's caring, listens good and always explains what is happening so that I understand. Plus he doesn't rush through my appointment. I would recommend him to everyone. His assistant Tina is very nice and makes herself available to help out and keep you informed. This is a great visit and a greater team.
In a five-year timeframe I needed both hips replaced. I cannot say enough about Dr. Wilmink and P.A. Adrienne Kelley. They are an amazing duo! Their reassurance in pre and post op put me at ease, particularly at the first surgery which made going back for the second surgery a "no brainer" for me. I was up and walking shortly after the surgery and recuperation at home was quick. Would highly recommend Dr. Wilmink!
Dr. Weiner is an excellent Orthopedic Surgeon. He was referred to me by a friend that had Dr. Weiner do her knee surgery, she has fully recovered and has no pain. I called his office and they were very professional and made an appointment right away.( I had a fall and tibial fracture and was in pain.) I had surgery the next day. He takes his time and explains everything. You will never feel rushed at an appt. I am very happy with the results and would highly recommend Dr. Weiner.
Dr. Peterson is a great Doctor very caring and through, definitely cares about his patients and recommends the treatment you need to get your health back on track. Spends a lot of time explaining your problem and treatment options.
Dr. Ott replaced my left hip in Oct 2017. I have been very physically active for the past 45 years, cycling, hiking & playing lots of squash. The past 6 years I had extreme pain in my groin & hip flexor, restricting my activities. After the 1st surgery, I was playing squash after 8 weeks. I then had the right hip replaced in Dec 2017, & am back to squash at 7 weeks. The anterior approach is outstanding. Dr. Ott is the most highly skilled surgeon for this method, plus you get his excellent team.
Matthew Hansen, MD performed surgery on my daughter after a bad knee injury almost 3 years ago. She is a figure skater and is back on this ice, jumping and is 2 tests away from a gold medal in Moves in the Field. He is compassionate, skilled (I am a picky medical professional who used to work with a lot of surgeons) recognized her goals and helped her get back to these goals. He was honest about possible limitations and the time to get back to her sport. Highly recommended.
My personal experience with Dr. Marc Dinowitz proved to be outstanding. He is not only an excellent surgeon, but he also is a caring and compassionate person. My wrist surgery was complicated by the fact I am totally dependent on crutches due to a permanent disability. Dr. Dinowitz and his staff did everything in their collective power to make sure my unique needs were met during the healing process. Today, my wrist is pain free, and I am most grateful to Dr. Dinowitz and his excellent staff.
I would recommend Dr. Domer to anyone. He and his staff are awesome. They are kind and friendly. Dr. Domer explains everything every step of the way. I had my right knee replaced and Dr. Domer and his staff made it a good experience.
I am ever aware of the uses of our legs for transportation; and how our strides provide us with the ability to expand our horizons. Through you and your team I enjoy my freedom every day. As I look forward to celebrating a milestone birthday, my eighty, it is hard to put into words the freedom of mobility you have provided me with over these last thirty plus years. It is with heartfelt thanks that I express the joy you have brought to my life, and my entire family’s.
Thank you for doing my total knee replacement surgery. You listened to me when I procrastinated for a year before I decided to have surgery, and then you did a great job. I am happy to be on my way to recovery.
Dr. Ott’s entire staff is exceptional. Everybody is friendly and competent. Best doctor's office I have ever visited and I’ve been to quite a few.
This was my second, I had the left joint replaced last year. Dr. Miller is my hero, he and his staff made this whole experience a great one. I am living and enjoying my life again. Just keep doing what your doing, I can’t imagine a better experience.
I am very pleased with my knee surgery. I think Dr. Bradway is a wonderful doctor. He did my other knee in March of this year. I have had no problems at all with either knee. It is wonderful to be able to walk again without any pain. Thank you very much Dr. Bradway.
I really appreciate the professional way I was treated by Dr. Russo and his staff. I have total confidence in Dr. Russo. I continually recommend him to everyone who asks about my surgery.
