About Dr. Ayotunde
Dr. Oluwatosin Ayotunde is a fellowship-trained, board-certified interventional pain management specialist. With a foundation in emergency medicine and advanced training in minimally invasive procedures, he provides comprehensive care for patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. Dr. Ayotunde is dedicated to helping individuals overcome painful disorders that affect both their physical and emotional well-being, empowering them to return to active, fulfilling lives.
Dr. Ayotunde earned his medical degree from The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, followed by residency training in emergency medicine at Corewell Health/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he served as the chair of the House Staff Council. He then went on to complete a fellowship in interventional pain management at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Ayotunde has published and presented numerous research studies throughout his career, including papers on the effect of stretch therapy on chronic low-back pain and antibiotic and opioid prescribing for toothache in the emergency department.
Board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Ayotunde takes a collaborative approach to care, partnering with each patient to create personalized treatment plans. His expertise includes advanced treatments such as spinal cord stimulator implantation, peripheral nerve and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulator implantation, occipital nerve stimulation, pain pump implants, kyphoplasty, sacroiliac joint fusion, minimally invasive lumbar decompression, and the Intracept procedure. He also offers nonsurgical options such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, sympathetic nerve blocks, and joint injections. Dr. Ayotunde is focused on helping patients relieve pain and regain function through minimally invasive care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ayotunde enjoys reading, poetry, producing music, exercising, and exploring outdoor activities.
