About Dr. Boyd
Dr. Eric Boyd is a fellowship-trained interventional pain management doctor dedicated to helping patients regain function and quality of life through minimally invasive, evidence-based treatments tailored to each individual’s goals and needs. He believes in treating pain at its source, often working closely with physical therapists and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
Dr. Boyd has a special interest in managing spinal degenerative conditions, such as arthritis, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease. With advanced training in interventional pain management, he offers a broad range of minimally invasive procedures, including image-guided spine and joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, and treatments for sacroiliac and peripheral nerve pain. He also performs spinal procedures, such as kyphoplasty and fusion techniques, and specializes in neuromodulation therapies, like spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation. In addition, Dr. Boyd integrates orthobiologic therapies to support healing and restore function. He finds the most joy in his work when a patient experiences meaningful relief and is able to return to the activities they value.
After completing his undergraduate education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Dr. Boyd earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He then completed an internal medicine internship at Banner – University Medical Center in Phoenix, where he remained for his anesthesiology residency at The University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Boyd continued his specialization with fellowship training in interventional pain management at The University of Arizona at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. He is board-certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology and has also obtained subspecialty certification in pain management.
