About Dr. Guarraia

Dr. David Guarraia is a fellowship-trained, board-certified cardiologist and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He specializes in preventive cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiometabolic health, and the comprehensive management of cardiovascular health. His approach combines evidence-based medical care with lifestyle and dietary interventions to help patients achieve long-term heart health.

Dr. Guarraia joins OrthoArizona from the University of Virginia, where he was both the Medical Director of Preventive Cardiology and the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Rehabilitation. He retains an adjunct faculty position at the University of Virginia.  At OrthoArizona, Dr. Guarraia will lead a team of providers performing preoperative assessments. These providers are passionate about reducing perioperative risk and will work with local cardiovascular groups and primary care providers to help ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
