Lance Silverman, M.D.

Dr. Lance Silverman is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle care. He treats a wide range of conditions affecting mobility and function, with expertise in advanced and minimally invasive surgical techniques, including ankle arthroscopy, bunion correction, Achilles tendon repair, ligament reconstruction, deformity correction, and total ankle replacement. Dr. Silverman also provides nonsurgical treatment options, including ultrasound-guided injections and orthobiologics.

Dr. Silverman believes every patient deserves care tailored to their individual condition, goals, and lifestyle. He takes a comprehensive approach to identifying the underlying cause of a patient's symptoms and prioritizes effective nonsurgical treatment whenever appropriate. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Silverman received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and continued his training with a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

A nationally recognized foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Silverman is active in professional education and has presented to fellow orthopedic surgeons nationally and internationally. He is also a peer reviewer for Foot & Ankle International and a founder and editor of anklefootmd.com, a patient education resource dedicated to foot and ankle health.

Outside of work, Dr. Silverman enjoys staying active through CrossFit, swimming, running, and weight lifting. He also has a strong interest in nutrition.
