Edward Scott Frankel, M.D.

Dr. Frankel is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has provided skilled, compassionate, and ethical care to patients for more than 25 years. He specializes in traumatic injuries, fracture care, arthritis surgery, nerve decompression and repair, and tendon release and repair. He was drawn to the specialty of orthopedic medicine for the opportunity to help make patients’ lives better and specifically chose hand surgery because he was intrigued by the high level of anatomic detail within this specialty. Dr. Frankel views the hands as key to a patient’s sense of self, impacting their ability to make a living and participate in recreational activities. The hand is where your mind meets the world. Dr. Frankel feels privileged to assist you in caring for such a critical component of your anatomy. He attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry in New York and completed his residency at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina as well as a fellowship at The Hand & Upper Extremity Center of San Antonio in Texas.
