Tanner Cotner, C.S.C.S.

Tanner Cotner is a Sports Performance Coach at the North Peoria location, working with athletes and general population clients across a wide range of ages and experience levels. With four years of coaching experience, he has developed athletes from foundational stages through high-level performance, including exposure to professional athletes.
A former collegiate track athlete, Tanner brings both practical and competitive experience into his coaching. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science with an emphasis in sports performance from Grand Canyon University and holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential. His coaching background includes internships at Arizona Christian University and Willow Canyon High School, where he gained experience in both collegiate and high school performance environments.
Tanner’s coaching philosophy centers on developing better athletes by first developing better people. He challenges individuals to embrace the process, take ownership of their training, and build a genuine respect for the work required to improve. His programs emphasize accountability, consistent effort, and the development of strength as a foundation for performance.
Tanner has contributed to measurable improvements in both performance and injury reduction, including helping reduce ACL injury rates within Del Sol Soccer Club, while consistently improving athlete strength and speed across the populations he serves.
Tanner’s long-term goal is to create lifelong athletes—individuals who not only perform at a high level but also carry a mindset of continuous improvement beyond their competitive careers.
