Sports Medicine Specialist
Dr. Tefteller specializes in sports medicine and non-operative care of musculoskeletal injury, concussion management and injury prevention. His expertise also includes diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound, viscosupplementation, orthobiologics, and the Tenex procedure.
Dr. Tefteller is committed to offering patients personalized care and he fittingly takes a team approach when it comes to empowering patients to achieve optimal health and wellness.
He attended Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in the top 25% of his class and earned a Silver TOUCH award for distinction in service. Dr. Tefteller then completed his residency in family medicine at Phoenix Baptist Hospital and was honored by his peers with the Practice Management Award.
He later completed a fellowship at the distinguished San Diego Sports Medicine and Family Health Center. While there, he served as a team physician for San Diego State University, St. Augustine High School, the U.S. Olympic Training Center (Chula Vista, CA) and he also served as the medical director for the San Diego Hydroplane professional boat races and on the medical staff for the three-day breast cancer walk and California State games. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Tefteller enjoys playing any and all sports and spending quality time with his family.
Dr. Tefteller utilizes the Tenex Health TX® System, a minimally invasive procedure that helps alleviate chronic Achilles Tendon and Plantar Fascia conditions in over 85% of patients.
